HNC/HND in Health and Social Care (Level 3-5) |

Overview of the programme
This is a comprehensive programme that allows the full range of health and social acre professionals to qualify level 3 to 5 course leading to the Undergraduate degree in Health and Social Care (HSC). Students must be in employment in the care industry and in many cases WOI will support job seeking and/or a placement so that skills can be achieved in the workplace.
There is a wide range of options to suit diverse career in HSC from “care” specialism” to management and the programme which is awarded by Edexcel is recognized by all universities and professional bodies, such as the UK Nursing Council
Course Structure and Content
Options are agreed to suit the career of each student but key modules include the following:

Management in HSC
Entry Requirements:
Level 3: a level 2 HSC qualification or equivalent
Level 4: an advanced qualification in care such as a level 3 HSC or a nursing qualification
Level 5: an advanced qualification in HSC and management experience (must be holding some supervisory or management position)
In addition for international students: IELTS 6.0 or must enrol on English course.
Duration and Progression
Students normally qualify for each level in one year; conversion to the HND takes a further year and students who choose to continue their studies may then gain a BA (Hons) by joining the final year.
Costs
£950 per year for UK/EU students; international students- £3400 per year. Bursaries (financial support) may be available
