Railway Engineering- Diploma and Advanced Diploma |
|
Overview of the programme
The railways are a key part of the UK’s transport infrastructure for commuting, leisure and business travel as well as freight services. The rail industry has been experiencing strong growth in passenger journeys putting pressure on available resources.
The industry recognises that it needs staff with the right skills to deal with the ever increasing demands. That is why WOI in conjunction with City & Guilds, the UK’s leading provider of vocational qualifications, has developed a range of qualifications, for those working in the rail industry, both in the operational and the engineering areas.
Our diplomas in Railway Engineering range from basic (level 2) to advanced diploma (level 3) and are work-based qualifications, only suitable for trainees or managers who are currently employed in the rail transport sector. Students will be given a chance to prove competence of industrial performance, knowledge and understanding, and to have their abilities recognised. In some cases we may help students seek work/placement in the sector.
